10.4.8. Dismantling, troubleshooting and assembly of the Iskra generator

It will be required to you: keys cap "on 8", "on 10", "on 24", a hexagon "on 8", screw-drivers with flat and crosswise edges, the hammer.
1. Clear the generator of dust and dirt.
2. Remove a back cover, having turned off three nuts of hairpins of its fastening.
3. Turn out the screw of fastening of the plug of the brush holder …

5. … also remove the brush holder assembled with tension regulator.
6. Unsolder excitement winding conclusions from the vypryamitelny block …

Clamp a generator drive pulley in a vice, previously having wrapped up it an old belt of the drive, and turn off a nut of fastening of a pulley.

14. Check serviceability of the regulator of tension. Connect a control lamp of 12 V to brushes. Give voltage of 12 V: "+" on the plug, "-" on "mass" of the brush holder. At the same time the control lamp has to burn. If the control lamp does not burn, the regulator of tension needs to be replaced.

17. Check an ohmmeter (tester) anchor winding resistance, having connected it to contact rings. If the ohmmeter shows infinity, so in windings the break and a rotor need to be replaced.
18. Check an ohmmeter whether there is no short circuit of a winding on the anchor case. Connect one wire of an ohmmeter to the anchor case, and the second — serially on each ring. In both cases the ohmmeter has to show infinity.
19. Examine the stator. On the internal surface of the stator there should not be anchor zadevaniye traces about the stator. Otherwise replace bearings of a shaft of an anchor or cover of the generator.
20. Check whether there is no short circuit of windings of the stator on the case. For this purpose include a control lamp in the alternating current main voltage of 220 V (it is possible to use the rechargeable battery and a lamp of 12 V). Connect a lamp to a stator winding conclusion, and a wire from a current source — to the stator case, at the same time the lamp should not burn. If the lamp burns, it indicates that there is a short circuit in a winding, therefore, it is necessary to replace the stator or a winding.
21. Check conductivity of windings of the stator. For this purpose connect one wire of an ohmmeter to one conclusion of a winding, and another — to another. If the ohmmeter shows value, so there is no break.
22. Check diodes of the vypryamitelny block, for this purpose connect one wire of an ohmmeter to weight, and the second to a diode conclusion, then trade wires places. The diode has to pass current only in one party. If the diode passes current in both parties, so it is faulty.
23. Examine a generator cover from the drive assembled with the bearing. If at rotation of the bearing the side play between rings, a rift or jamming of bodies of swing is felt, protective rings are damaged or is begin to flow lubricants, cracks in a cover, especially in places of fastening of the generator are found, replace a cover assembled with the bearing.
24. For replacement of the bearing without cover turn out four screws of fastening of a plate of the bearing …
25. … remove a plate …
26. … and a mandrel of the suitable size to a vypressuyta the bearing from a cover.
27. Install the new bearing as it should be, the return to removal.
28. Check ease of rotation of the bearing from contact rings. If at rotation of the bearing the side play between rings, a rift or jamming of bodies of swing is felt, protective rings are damaged or is begin to flow lubricants, the bearing needs to be replaced. For this purpose by means of a stripper press the bearing from a shaft of a rotor and a napressuyta new by means of a suitable mandrel, putting effort to an internal ring of the bearing.
29. Examine a generator cover from contact rings. At detection of cracks the cover needs to be replaced.
30. Examine rubber sealing laying of the bearing of a cover from contact rings, at detection on laying of signs of aging replace it.
31. Collect the generator as it should be, the return to dismantling.
