4.2.4. Check of level and a dolivka of brake fluid in a tank of the main brake cylinder

It will be required to you: brake fluid, pure rag.

Recommendations
Type of brake fluid – Tom or "Dew" a class not below DOT-4.
When falling level of brake fluid in a tank below a tag of "MIN" on the dashboard the alarm lamp lights up red light. We recommend to check level before each departure and if necessary to add liquid in a tank, without waiting when the alarm lamp lights up, – it is better to perform this operation beforehand. If brake fluid in a tank has to be added quite often, at once address experts or eliminate malfunction independently (see section 9 "Brake system").
When replacing brake fluid in system remember or write down brand of liquid which was filled in that at a dolivka to use the same brand.
At installation of a cover of a tank with a float liquid level in a tank slightly increases at the expense of float volume.

The tank is installed on the main cylinder of the brake system on the left side of a motor compartment at a front board.

Prevention
Observe precautionary measures during the work with brake fluid: it is toxic.

Useful tips
In the future not to subject itself to contingencies on repair of the brake system, and even all car in general, in due time replace brake fluid fresh. It is very hygroscopic and absorbs moisture from air that, besides emergence of corrosion of details of the brake system, increases temperature of boiling of the liquid, and it can lead to refusal of brakes at frequent intensive braking.
Do not reuse the liquid merged from system: it is polluted, saturated air and moisture.
Hit of brake fluid on wires, the plastic or painted details of a body can cause their damage. Therefore always enclose pure rags when filling. At hit of liquid on these details at once wipe them with a pure rag.

1. Check the level of brake fluid in a tank. It has to be between the tags of "MIN" and "MAX" applied on the tank case.
2. If the level of liquid is lower than a tag of "MIN", turn off a cover of a tank and add brake fluid to a tag of "MAX". Then wrap a tank cover.
3. Check operation of the sensor of falling of the level of brake fluid established in a tank cover. For this purpose include ignition then press the button on a tank cover.
4. In a combination of devices the alarm lamp of critical condition of the working brake system has to light up. If the lamp does not light up, most likely, the sensor is faulty.
