5.16.3. Removal, repair and installation of a bent shaft

It will be required to you: a key "on 10", heads "on 15", "on 17", "on 19".
1. Remove an oil case and laying of a case (see. "Replacement of consolidation of an oil case").
2. Remove the oil pump (see. "Removal, repair and installation of the oil pump").
3. Remove chains of the drive of camshafts (see. "Replacement of chains and gear wheels of the gas-distributing mechanism").
4. Turn out six bolts of 1 fastening of a flywheel, remove a washer of 2 bolts of a flywheel and remove a flywheel 3.
5. Turn out six bolts 1 and remove a salnikoderzhatel 2 with the back epiploon pressed in him 3 bent shafts. Remove laying of a salnikoderzhatel.
6. If it is not necessary to take out pistons from cylinders, it is possible not to remove a block head, it is enough to turn off nuts of 3 conrod bolts, to uncover 5 rods and to carefully advance pistons in cylinders. Turn out bolts 1 and uncover 6 radical bearings. If covers sit densely, bring down them weak blows of the hammer. Take out the top half rings 4 persistent bearings. Take out a bent shaft 2 with a gear wheel and the plug 7 assembled.

Covers of radical bearings process together with the block of cylinders therefore they are not interchanged and it is forbidden to depersonalize them at removal.

7. Take out inserts and the lower half rings of the persistent bearing from beds of radical bearings and covers.

If you are not going to change inserts, mark them to establish on former places.

8. Wash out all details gasoline and dry.
9. Examine a bent shaft. If on it there are cracks or traces of an overheat, replace a bent shaft.
10. Turn out traffic jams, wash out gasoline and blow compressed air oil channels of a bent shaft. Wrap traffic jams and tighten their moment 38–42 N · m (3,8–4,2 kgfs · м).
11. If on radical and conrod necks there are insignificant teases or ovality of necks exceeds 0,01 mm, they should be proshlifovat under the repair size. After grinding polish necks. It is necessary to grind shaft necks under one of the repair sizes specified in tab. 5.5. Dull sharp edges of facets of oil channels with an abrasive cone. Then wash out a bent shaft with pro-polished necks and blow compressed air oil channels. After grinding of necks of a bent shaft it is necessary to establish inserts of radical and conrod bearings of the corresponding repair size.

12. Examine inserts of radical bearings. If on them there are teases, peelings and other defects, replace inserts.
13. Examine a flywheel. If flywheel wreath teeths are damaged, there are teases and other defects on the surface adjacent to the conducted clutch plate, replace a flywheel. If on a flywheel cracks appeared, it also should be replaced.
14. In a flywheel the bearing of the closed type performing function of a support of a sock of a main shaft of the transmission is pressed. Examine the bearing, at detection of defects (a big side play, jamming and so forth) replace the bearing.
15. Vypressuyte the bearing from a flywheel.
16. Press the new bearing aflush with the lower side of a facet of an opening in a flywheel.
17. Examine forward and back epiploons of a bent shaft in a forward cover of the block of cylinders and a salnikoderzhatel. On them there should not be damages (anguishes, wear of a working edge, etc.). Replace the damaged epiploons: take out an old epiploon by means of the screw-driver and press new. At the same time the old epiploon can be used as a mandrel.

Good advice
At a big run of the car it is recommended to replace when dismantling the engine both epiploons irrespective of their state.

18. Measure diameters of radical and conrod necks of a bent shaft. If diameters of conrod necks it is less than 55,92 mm, and it is less than 61,92 mm of radical necks, it is necessary to proshlifovat necks under the repair size.

It is necessary to grind all radical or conrod necks even if only one neck is less than specified maximum permissible size.

19. Check gaps between inserts of radical bearings and necks of a bent shaft. The gap has to be within 0,019–0,073 mm. Gaps can be calculated, having measured diameters of necks of a bent shaft and openings in radical bearings with the established inserts or having used the calibrated plastic wire. Measure gaps in the following order:
– clear necks of a bent shaft and inserts of bearings of deposits from oil;
– lay a bent shaft on beds of radical bearings with the established inserts;
– put on necks of a bent shaft of cutting of the calibrated plastic wire;
– establish covers of radical bearings with the inserts established in them, wrap bolts of fastening of covers and tighten the moment 100 N · m (10,0 kgfs · м). At the same time do not turn a bent shaft;
– uncover radical bearings and on flattening of a wire determine a gap by the scale applied on packing of a wire.
20. Establish a bent shaft as it should be, the return to removal, taking into account the following:
– in covers of radical bearings establish inserts without flutes, and in a bed — with flutes;
– the top half rings of the persistent bearing establish in pro-points of a bed of the 3rd radical bearing by an antifrictional layer to a cheek of a bent shaft, lower — together with a cover, at the same time short moustaches of half rings have to enter cover pro-points;
– before installation oil pure engine radical and conrod necks of a bent shaft, inserts of radical bearings and a half ring of the persistent bearing;
– tighten bolts of covers of radical bearings the moment of 100-110 N · m (10,0–11,0 kgfs · l);
– tighten bolts of fastening of a flywheel the moment of 72-80 N · m (7,2–8,0 kgfs · l);
– before accession of rods turn a bent shaft. It has to rotate easily, without jammings.
