5.22.4. Features of a design of system of an admission of air and production of the fulfilled gases

On ZMZ-514 engines the 16-valvate system of gas distribution which in comparison with 8-valvate allows to improve considerably filling and cleaning of cylinders is applied and together with a screw form of inlet channels provides whirl of an air charge necessary for the best smeseobrazovaniye.

The system of an admission of air (fig. 5.19) consists of the air filter, an inlet branch pipe of a turbocompressor, a turbocompressor 5, a final branch pipe 4 turbocompressor, an air duct 3, a receiver 2, an inlet pipe 1, inlet channels of a head of the block of cylinders and inlet valves.
The production of the fulfilled gases is made via final valves and channels of a head of the block of cylinders, a final collector, a turbocompressor and a reception branch pipe of the muffler.
The turbocompressor 5 is an effective remedy of increase in power and torque of the engine of the car. For forcing of an air charge in cylinders it uses energy of the fulfilled gases.
